SCANG conducts Resilience Tactical Pause awareness training
U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Timothy Ogburn, left, contracting officer for the 169th Mission Support Group, and Master Sgt. Mylin Jarrett, weapons section chief for the 169th Maintenance Group, perform a "troubled Airman" skit to Airmen of the South Carolina Air National Guard's 169th Fighter Wing participating in base-wide resilience tactical pause suicide awareness training at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., Dec. 7, 2019. The RTP was implemented by U.S. Air Force Gen. David Goldfein, Air Force Chief of Staff, and Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Kaleth Wright in early August to address the increasing number of Airmen suicides and attempted suicides and guide Airmen to better options to resolve what may be causing their suffering.
