Maintenance personnel works on wing of F-16

Staff Sgt Mark Fuge, an F-16 crew chief assigned to the 169th Aircraft Generations Squadron, from the top of an F-16 wing, checks the bolts being put in place for the aircrafts pod being attached. Personnel assigned to the 169th Fighter Wing at McEntire Joint National Guard Base South Carolina, are preparing for a Phase I Operational Readiness Exercise (ORE). This ORE evaluates a unit's ability to process personnel, equipment, and aircraft from home station to a deployed location safely and efficiently. The 169th is home of the Swamp Foxes of the South Carolina Air National Guard and is training for an Operational Readiness Inspection (ORI) scheduled for late 2007. (USAF Photo/SSgt Caycee Cook)
