McEntire fire fighters demonstrate to Air Combat Command inspectors that they are able to meet objectives and task evaluations during Unit Compliance Inspection

Senior Airman Jason Law, a firefighter with the 169th Civil Engineer Squadron at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., ascends a ladder to access an incapacitated pilot in the cockpit of an F-16 during a simulated ground emergency and aircrew extraction exercise during a Unit Compliance Inspection (UCI) on February 6, 2011. Staff Sgt. Josh Hammer (left) and SSgt. Justin McKeown secure the ladder as the pilot is rescued. Firefighters responded to the emergency, chocked, pinned and declared the aircraft was fire safe before removing the pilot and transporting him to triage. The exercise demonstrated to Air Combat Command inspectors that fire fighters could meet objectives and task evaluations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt Caycee Cook/Released)
