McEntire fire fighters demonstrate to Air Combat Command inspectors that they are able to meet objectives and task evaluations during Unit Compliance Inspection
Senior Airman Jason Law, a firefighter with the 169th Civil Engineer Squadron at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., responds to a simulated F-16 ground emergency involving an accidental External Power Unit activation on a landed jet and a possible hydrazine leak during a Unit Compliance Inspection (UCI) on February 6, 2011. Firefighters responded to the emergency, chocked, pinned and declared the aircraft was fire safe before removing the pilot and escorting contaminated crew chiefs to be decontaminated and receive medical attention. The exercise demonstrated to Air Combat Command inspectors that fire fighters could meet objectives and task evaluations. ( U.S. Air Force Photo by Staff Sgt. Jorge Intriago/Released )
