McEntire Joint National Guard Base reacts to 9/11

The 169th Fighter Wing based at McEntire Air National Guard Station of the South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG) in Eastover S.C. is operating under Force Protection Delta on September 12, 2001. Force Protection Delta was implemented soon after the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington mid-morning on Tuesday, 11 September 2001. MSgt Jacob Eargle and SSgt Doug Black, from the 169th Security Forces Squadron, conduct a vehicle search at one of the auxiliary gates.
