9/11 Memorial steal beams displayed at McEntire
Two steel beams recovered from the site of the World Trade Center in New York City after the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy are displayed at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., on August 7, 2011. Airmen from the S.C. Air National Guard had a first-hand opportunity to see a piece of history during the August UTA. The beams will become part of a memorial, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, dedicated to those who died on 9/11. (SCANG photo by TSgt Caycee Cook)
