Propulsion in the Hush House
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jonathan Salvador watches as Master Sgt. Rick Morgan, a mechanic with the 169th Maintenance Squadron propulsion unit at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., controls the block 52 jet engine and observes instrument readings from inside the T-20 test cab at the hush house, March 2, 2013. Salvador and Morgan are inspecting the engine for leaks in case the engine is faulty it will need a complete overhaul. The hush house allows jet engine mechanics to test F-16 engines without having extra noise pollution disturb base operations. (National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Jorge Intriago/Released)
