Worship service schedule changes in June - The Ministry of Presence

"The Ministry of Presence"

Military chaplains and chaplain assistants have walked alongside service members in times of joy and pain since the days of the Revolutionary War. We refer to this as the "ministry of presence." Ministry of presence best happens when a Religious Support Team (RST), which includes a chaplain and chaplain assistant, spend time visiting Airmen in their work areas.

During unit visitation, the SCANG Chaplain Corps becomes a "visible reminder of the Holy" and builds meaningful relationships with Airmen on UTA weekends so they can gain rapport and naturally step in to offer support in time of need.

Starting in June, the 0815 Worship Service will no longer take place so that the Chaplain Corps RSTs can provide a ministry of presence in their assigned units from 0830-1030 on Sunday UTAs. Please note that we will still have an 1100 Worship Service in the Fighter Wing Headquarters Auditorium and the 1330 Catholic Mass in the Eagle Vision Conference Room.

Below are your SCANG Religious Support Teams. Please let us know how we can serve you. You can always reach us individually by our ANG email address or via our group email account at: 169fw.hc@ang.af.mil.
