"Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead. Carefully consider the path for your feet, and all your ways will be established." Proverbs 4:25-26 (HCSB)

Technology today places the world at our finger tips. Modern advances allow us to keep abreast of the latest breaking news, Google quick fixes, diagnose our illness, and have a personal trainer and more all on our hand-held devices. All the choices and distractions can spin our lives out of focus. In the CRE last month, a sign was visible before entering the war which read, "No cell phones in the play area." Keeping our head in the game in real war ultimately saves lives.

What are the distractions in your life that bring chaos and will cause your head to spin out of control? Proverbs 4:25-26 tells us how to have balance and an established path in life. We are to fix our gaze or set our eyes forward. Without a focus in life we lose balance like a dancer spinning across the floor who loses his/her focal point and falls.

When life is spinning us every which way, we can set our eyes on God. We may not be able to control what comes into our lives, however we can choose who can transform the chaos into order and show us the pathway out. Unlike technology, God will not fail us or trick us. In this journey of life, look straight ahead to God as your focal point and balance will bring your feet to an established path.
