SCANG Retirement Ceremony

MCENTIRE JOINT NATIONAL GUARD BASE, South Carolina -- During December drill, the SCANG paused to recognize seven individuals who culminated their military careers here this year.

Each of the following retirees joined 169th Fighter Wing commander Col. Mike Hudson on stage to be recognized in front of their loved ones and the entire SCANG: Maj. Ed Pearce, Chief Master Sgts. Patrick Wait and Clifton Weir, Senior Master Sgt. John Vansickle, Master Sgts. William Brockman and Danny Smith and Tech. Sgt. Brandon McKimmey.

Additionally, each retiree's spouse in attendance was recognized with a certificate of appreciation for their unselfish support and devoted service.

The retirement ceremony was followed by an honorary wing commander change of command ceremony (full story here) and congratulatory, end-of-the-year remarks from Hudson.
