Originally an electronic warfare specialist, Tech. Sgt. Joshua Hutto-Peters joined the South Carolina Air National Guard in 2015. With more than eight years in service, Hutto-Peters understands the importance of community and maximizing opportunities to advance oneself in all areas of life. He offers motivating advice to new applicants questioning if the decision is worth it. “The key is to never be idle,” said Hutto-Peters. “Always be working on your fitness, stay up to date with your personal information, and continue to ask questions.” He said a person's vigilance during the waiting time will always advance their preparedness when opportunities open up.
