SC National Guard Hurricane Matthew Emergency Response

U.S. Soldiers with the 133rd Military Police Company, South Carolina Army National Guard are partnered with S.C. Department of Natural Resources law enforcement officers at Conway High School, Conway, S.C., during a statewide response to Hurricane Matthew, Oct. 6, 2016. Approximately 2,000 South Carolina National Guard Soldiers and Airmen were activated Oct. 4, 2016. Their primary mission is supporting state and county emergency management agencies and local first responders with coastal evacuations and any services or resources needed to assist the citizens of South Carolina after Governor Nikki Haley declared a State of Emergency.
